Red and I may have stumbled across the perfect place to watch a Green Bay Packers away game: Lambeau Field!
I was surprised to be able to book a reservation at the 1919 Kitchen and Tap for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, 10 minutes before the kickoff of the big game against Dallas, and settled for a great meal (those are Korean Chili Wings, a gameday special) in a not-packed comfortable atmosphere – complete with electricity, of course, because everyone was there to cheer for the Pack on the big screens.
It was as if everyone made the same assumption that we did – that Lambeau Field would be so crowded that it’d be silly to try to get in. Nope!
And the staff was accommodating – we left early, but we were welcome to stay for the whole game, they provided complimentary Packers fan towels to wave, and they gave away door prizes at halftime. Oh yes, and the team won a thriller!
We’ll go again, at least until this wonderful secret is no longer a secret.
